Beyond The Breakwater TYD Tournament August 28!
TYD= Tuna-Yellowtail-Dorado. The event is based out of Dana Landing Market in Mission Bay...

This is not a traditional "tournament" - while we have plaques and gear prizes for 1st - 3rd place, the main purpose is just to get
people out and have fun.
The majority of prizes (and we've got some doozies) are awarded by random drawing among all contestants. The main prize pool
includes:TYD Edition Abel Super 11, in Yellowfin Tuna fish finish ((Click Here for a picture of the reel)
Galvan Tournament Torque T-14
Temple Fork Outfitter Bluewater MD rod (13 - 15 wt)
Cam Sigler Bluewater 4 piece rod (16/17 wt)
Gift certificates from Fishermens Spot and Bob Marriott's
We also have a "Conservation Award" - since a team's score is based on just 3 fish, members of teams returning to the docks
with three fish (or less) on board are entered into a drawing for an outfit consisting of a Scott S4S 9wt / Hatch Outdoors 7+
mid arbor reel / Scientific Angler Sharkskin Streamer Express outfit...
We've got door prizes, of course, which include fly lines from SA and Rio, Oakley and Smith sunglasses, and other items
Everyone gets a gift bag with a BTB visor and TYD tournament T-shirt, a 2010 Tidelog, and other sundry items.
And...you get dinner and soft drinks at the awards ceremony.
Plus...new this year:
You can attend the Contestants Meeting On-line (thru GotoMeeting.com).
If you live in LA/OC/Riverside County, you don't have to come down to San Diego Friday night. Attend the online meeting, then drive down Saturday
morning, fish, then go home after the awards ceremony. A long day, for sure, but at least there's no hotel bill...
